A Word from the Vice President

When people see GSAOT today—a growing, vibrant community of passionate medical students—they often see the structure, the events, and the initiatives. But behind that is a story rooted in simplicity, friendship, and belief.

It all began with just two people and a shared vision. I still remember the moment Tatia hired me—right in front of a McDonald’s after returning from a conference. It was spontaneous, a little unexpected, but incredibly defining. That one conversation started it all. What followed was not just the formation of a team, but the birth of a movement.

From hiring our first HR team to gradually forming an operations unit, everything we did was built from the ground up. We didn’t just recruit people—we found passionate individuals who didn’t see GSAOT as a responsibility, but as something they truly belonged to.

What GSAOT has become today is not the result of a single person’s effort—it is a collective spirit. The growth we see is entirely due to the dedication of every team member who came on board with a smile and chose to stay, contribute, and uplift others. Their commitment is the foundation, and the success belongs to them as much as to anyone else.

As Vice President, I carry this role with a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility. GSAOT is not just an organization—it’s a story, a community, and a space where ambition meets opportunity. It’s where students become professionals, and where leadership, collaboration, and purpose converge.

To our members, mentors, partners, and future collaborators—thank you for believing in us. Let us continue to grow together, not just as orthopedic professionals, but as changemakers in healthcare.

With warmth and vision,
Mr. Tony Varghese
Vice President, GSAOT
