She Leads was our debut event, dedicated to empowering women in healthcare. Organized in collaboration with Alte Student Research Unit and PLC InclusiPink, the event aimed to create a supportive platform for aspiring women professionals to connect, learn, and grow.

Key Highlights of the Event:

• Inspiring Panel Discussions: Prominent women leaders from student-run organizations across Tbilisi shared their personal journeys, challenges, and successes in the healthcare field.

• Networking Break: Participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, build connections, and exchange contacts with experienced professionals.

• Special Guest Speakers: We were privileged to welcome distinguished orthopedic and emergency women doctors who are making significant contributions to their fields:

Impact & Vision:

This event marked the beginning of a movement dedicated to fostering inclusivity, leadership, and empowerment among women in healthcare. Through mentorship, collaboration, and shared experiences, She Leads aims to create a lasting impact by encouraging the next generation of female healthcare professionals to break barriers and achieve excellence in their fields.

Roadside to Recovery was a dedicated event held in observance of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. Organized by the Georgian Students' Association for Traumatology and Orthopaedics (GSAOT), the event aimed to raise awareness about road safety, emergency response, and trauma care while fostering discussions among medical professionals and students on their role in preventing and managing road traffic injuries.

Key Highlights of the Event:

  • Engaging Panel Discussions – Experts in emergency medicine, trauma care, and orthopedics shared their insights on handling road traffic injuries, discussing real-world scenarios, challenges, and best practices in patient care.

  • Interactive Workshops – Attendees participated in hands-on case studies, analyzing clinical recovery processes and learning about rehabilitation for accident victims.

  • Road Safety Awareness & Kahoot Quiz – A session dedicated to traffic sign awareness, followed by a fun and educational quiz, reinforced the importance of understanding and adhering to road safety rules.

  • Special Guest Speakers – Esteemed professionals specializing in trauma and orthopedics joined the discussions, offering their expertise on emergency response, injury management, and long-term recovery strategies.

Impact & Vision:

This webinar served as an important platform for medical students and professionals to reflect on their role in trauma care and road safety advocacy. Through scenario-based learning, expert discussions, and interactive engagement, Roadside to Recovery encouraged participants to take proactive steps in making roads safer and improving post-accident care.

As we continue to advocate for safer roads and better trauma management, we invite everyone to stay connected for future events and initiatives by GSAOT. Together, we can drive change, enhance emergency response, and ultimately save lives.

Research Workshop 1: Research Simplified

Mastering Clinical Research and Research Paper Writing was a workshop designed to equip students and professionals with essential skills in clinical research and scientific writing. Led by the Head of Research, the workshop provided a comprehensive breakdown of research methodologies, study design, statistical analysis, and academic writing techniques.

Key Highlights of the Workshop

  • Understanding Research Structure – Participants explored the components of a research article, including the Abstract, Introduction, Methods, esults, Discussion, and Conclusion, to better grasp the foundation of academic writing.

  • Study Design & Statistical Analysis – The workshop detailed various types of research studies, from observational to experimental designs, and introduced statistical methods used in hypothesis testing, data analysis, and causal inference.

  • Critical Thinking & Research Evaluation – Attendees learned how to assess research quality using Hill’s criteria for causation, understand potential biases, and differentiate between association and causality.

  • Hands-on Writing Guidance – The session included practical tips on crafting well-structured research papers, identifying reliable sources, and using analytical tools like systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

This workshop provided future researchers, medical students, and professionals with the tools needed to conduct high-quality research, contribute to scientific advancements, and publish impactful studies.
